Capture the Beauty of Nevada and its Wildlife
I have lived in Northern Nevada since 1981 and spent most of my adult life exploring its stunning mountains and high desert landscapes. Often amazed at the scenes I encounter while hunting or hiking in the Nevada Wilderness; I decided I need to start Capturing the amazing sites I see.
I decided to Capture Nevada.
All wild shots are opportunities, one-of-a-kind instances in time, that I share with the world. Every trip out to the field is a unique experience, of which I endeavor to share as much as possible, as I continue to explore the great Silver State and find new locations in the amazing Nevada wilderness, unique and timeless.

Adventures for Veterans
At Capture Nevada, I welcome fellow Veterans into the raw, wide‑open country of Northern Nevada, a land that’s honest, weathered, and still carrying the stories of those who came before us. As a Veteran myself, I know the pull of this terrain: the wind cutting through sagebrush flats, the long stretches of open desert basin, the silence that settles in the canyons at first light. Out here, history isn’t just something you read about, it’s still standing.
We roam through living relics like Virginia City, Genoa, Middlegate Station, and other historic towns and outposts that haven’t given up their place on the map such as Ft. Churchill, Aurora, and Pinegrove. Our outings aren’t about perfection or pressure; they’re about getting into the dirt, the dust, and the wild. Whether you carry a camera or just want to explore, we move through rugged landscapes, wildlife corridors, forgotten mining sites, and the desert’s stubborn survivors’ side by side.
You don’t need to be a photographer—just someone ready to step into Nevada’s backcountry with a fellow Vet who understands the terrain, both on the land and in life.

Adventures for Photographers
At Capture Nevada, photographers step into a landscape built for bold images and honest storytelling. Northern Nevada’s desert offers a mix of alpine mountain ranges, sweeping basins, jagged canyon walls, and weather‑worn relics that challenge your eye and reward your patience. From various wildlife corridors to the still‑living history of places like Virginia City, Middlegate Station, and the scattered mining sites that refuse to disappear, every outing is a chance to chase light across terrain that feels untouched and unapologetic.
Whether you’re refining your craft, or pushing into new creative territory, we move through the backcountry with purpose—seeking moments, textures, and scenes you won’t find anywhere else.
Out here, the desert doesn’t pose for you; it makes you work for the shot, and that’s what makes it worth capturing.
